Management Dynamics, Inc. (MDI) is VHHA Services’ endorsed health care operations consulting firm. MDI focuses on working with health care providers to reduce their non-salary expenditures and enhancing resource utilization. Through its PACERTM program, MDI has assisted over 600 facilities throughout the United States reduce their non-salary expenditures.

Typical results achieved by MDI client hospitals yield savings of seven percent or more in supply costs, or an average of $12,000 to $15,000 per occupied bed per year. MDI offers VHHA members a Mini-PACERTM at “no charge.” The Mini-PACERTM provides a snapshot of the hospitals current expenditures in a variety of product lines. MDI has implemented this program at several VHHA facilities with significant success.

Specific recommendations are identified to change practices, products and/or services with accompanying savings identified in detail. MDI works closely with the hospital’s Group Purchasing Organization to assure the hospital is receiving the proper pricing and tier level.
